Keane Remains Stable After Limerick Shooting

A man remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital this morning, after yesterday's gangland shooting in Limerick.

54 year old Christy Keane suffered several gunshot wounds to his chest and arm when he was targeted at the University of Limerick shortly before 7 o'clock yesterday morning.

Two firearms were been recovered from one of the cars found burnt out following the shooting.

Gardai are appealing for any information on a red Ford Focus with a 132 D registration which was stolen in Dublin, and a white English reg Volvo V60 estate which it's believed were used in the attack.

It's reported that officers will attempt to speak with Mr. Keane in hospital today.
