The newly crowned Clare Person of the Year says he’s humbled to receive the honour.
Everest conqueror, philanthropist and Spanish Point hotelier John Burke has been named the 2018 recipient – following in the footsteps of the late rescue volunteer Caitríona Lucas.
Along with being the first Banner man to climb Mount Everest, the Clare Association are commending him for setting up youth wellness charity, Elevate.
