Irish Water Safety Issues Warning As Long Weekend Gets Underway

Water Safety Ireland is warning those flocking to Clare’s coast this weekend not to get carried away in the seasonal temperatures.

Temperatures in the low 20s are forecast for the coming days which, combined with the long weekend, will see a major spike in visitors to the likes of Lahinch, Doolin, Kilkee and Lough Derg.

But despite this, the temperature of coastal waters will remain low at around 10 degrees, with 8 degrees for inland waters.
