Hospital trolleys

Nurses say the region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country.

The latest figures from the INMO show 45 people were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 24 of those in the emergency department.

It’s 15 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 285 people have been left waiting on admission at hospitals across the country.
