Work On National Broadband Plan In Clare Could Begin By End Of Year

Work on connecting over 23,000 Clare premises under the National Broadband Plan could begin as early as the end of this year.

The Communications Minister has announced that the plan is progressing well, with €92 million allocated to this county to provide fibre broadband to rural homes, farms and businesses.

It’s hoped the final contract will by signed by September, with work to get underway shortly after and the first homes are expected to be fully connected by Autumn of next year.
