There’s been a drop of €2million in the level of funding granted by the government for the upgrade of regional and local roads in Clare.

Transport Minister Shane Ross has revealed that almost €24.5m has been allocated to this county, as part of a €525m fund nationally.

This is down from €26.5m last year, though is still well ahead of the previous two years, while a number of key projects in the county have been earmarked by the Department of Transport to be progressed.
