HSE Called On To Aggressively Recruit Staff For Child And Mental Health Services

A Clare Fianna Fáil General Election candidate is calling for the Health Service to “aggressively recruit” staff for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

Cllr. Cathal Crowe is highlighting a fall-off in the number of staff in CAMHS services in this region – down by 10% from January to September.

Figures also show that in that same timeframe, 65 children and teenagers here had to be admitted to adult mental health units as there was no specific beds available to them.
