Midwest Simon Calls For Increased Supports For People While Living In Emergency Accommodation

The CEO of Midwest Simon is calling for increased supports for homeless people to assist them while they are living in emergency accommodation.

According to the latest figures from the Department of Housing, 10,500 people nationwide are currently homeless; with 74 adults without a permanent home in Clare alone, along with 163 children across the Midwest region.

The crisis is showing no sign of abating and homeless organisations are calling on the Department of Housing to do more to address the crisis in 2020.
