Government Called On To Make Renting More Tax Efficient For Landlords

An Ennis auctioneer insists the government has to make it more tax-efficient for landlords to stay in the market, or our rents will continue to soar.

It comes as the latest Daft.ie rental report reveals that the number of homes to rent in this county is at one of the lowest ever levels, with just 2,700 homes available to rent nationwide on May 1st.

Clare also experienced a 9.8% rise in terms of the average monthly cost of rent to €832 across the county, though in the likes of Ennis and Shannon it far exceeds that figure.
