Call For Focus On Rapid Building Of Social Housing

It’s claimed a focus on the rapid building of social housing is needed to resolve the housing crisis and not just looking at the rental market.

It follows a report compiled by Daft.ie which shows that the average cost of renting a home in Clare has risen to €858 per month in the past year, which is €100 more expensive than the June 2018 figure.

Nationally, the rate of inflation with rental prices is slowing, however that hasn’t been felt here yet.
