Slight Ease In Overcrowding At UHL

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has eased slightly today.

But according to figures released by the INMO, University Hospital Limerick is still the most overcrowded facility in the country today with 48 patients without a bed.

The figure is, however, down on yesterday’s peak of 61.

Nationally, there are 379 patients waiting to be admitted to Irish hospitals today according to the nursing union’s trolleywatch report.
