Growing Calls For River Shannon Flooding To Be Dealt With By Single Agency

There are growing calls for flooding along the River Shannon to be co-ordinated by a single, specialist agency.

The River Shannon Management Agency Bill, which is sponsored by Sinn Fein, will be debated by TD’s in the Dail this evening.

Flooding along the river has become an almost annual problem for residents along the Shannon, including in the likes of Springfield and Clonlara.
