A Government Minister has rejected calls for a waste regulator to oversee proposed new bin charges.
Under changes introduced last week, households will pay by weight or by lift instead of a flat fee.
A protest against the move is taking place outside Dublin’s City Hall this evening – and its prompted calls for a waste regulator to be introduced.
