Gort Residents Protest Bio-Gas Plant

Residents of Gort are holding protesting today against a proposed bio-gas plant just outside the town centre.

The project is being led by Sustainable Bio-Energy Ltd and, if it goes ahead, would be one of the largest slurry plants of its kind in the country.

Protestors have gathered in Loughrea at the AGM of the Galway County Council meeting against the plans, which they’ve raised serious concern with.
