Gardaí Investigating Series Of Prank Calls To Emergency Services

An investigation is underway into a series of prank calls to emergency services in Clare this week.

Gardaí have confirmed that over the past two days, a number of calls were made to the Kilrush station, which all turned out to be false reports.

They say one call said someone was drowning at the beach in Kilkee, another said there was a person being held at gunpoint in the town while there were also reports of a car accident and a fire.
