Gardaí in Cork are investigating a potential 200,000 Euro theft, in the county’s second credit union scandal in less than two weeks.

A member of staff is accused of raiding accounts at the Gurranabraher credit union.

Last week Synergy credit union in Fermoy reported suspected fraud of 400,000 Euro.

The CEO of Gurranabraher, Philip Hosford, has told the Irish Independent that no members will be exposed to losses and services remain unaffected.
