Gardaí are searching for two bogus tradesmen who conned an elderly woman ot of money, which they claimed was for attic insulation.
The men called to the woman’s home on the Considine Road last Tuesday afternoon at around 12.20 and convinced the woman to allow them up to her attic, where they said she needed to have work done.
After being told the work would cost a substantial sum of money, she handed over a sum of cash before going to the credit union for the balance, but the men left without carrying out any work while she was gone.
