There are fresh calls for the government to end the US military’s use of Shannon Airport, amid the ongoing crisis in Syria.
People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy says the continued use of the MidWest facility amounts to implicit support to the US intervention in the Middle East.
The US, along with the UK and France, launched a series of airstrikes on rebel-held Syria last weekend, in response to a suspected gas attack earlier this month.
