A former Clare hurling star is hopeful his experience with concussion will serve as a reminder of its dangers in the future.

Kilmaley’s Diarmuid McMahon is speaking after suffering a serious head injury in a club challenge game that left him in an induced coma.

The primary school teacher was forced to re-learn how to walk and talk as part of an extensive rehab program.
