Fewer than five new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Clare according to the latest figures released by the National Public Health Emergency Team.
They are among the 522 new cases of the virus registered in Ireland, over half of them (280) in Dublin alone.
Nine additional deaths have also been announced, four of which occurred in March, bringing the death toll to 4,405.
When only a small number of cases are announced, no exact number is given, but the figure for Clare yesterday was between one and four.
The incidence rate for the virus here remains lower than the national average, with only ten counties currently registering lower rates of transmission for the virus.
