Angling projects in North and East Clare have been boosted by government funding.
Just under 7,000 euro has been announced for the provision of equipment for training and coaching at the Lisdoonvarna/Fanore Sea Angling Club.
Meanwhile, a further 2,000 euro has been announced to support the purchase of equipment to develop youth angling at Derg Isle Adventure Centre, close to Scarriff.

The money has been awarded by the Minister with responsibility for the Inland Fisheries Sector Sean Kyne, as part of a 2.2 million euro National Strategy.
