Ennis Students Win International Space Competition

Four secondary school students from Ennis have beaten off competition from thousands others across the world in an International NASA competition.

17 year-old students Seán Donnelly, Eoghan Keane, Jason Herbert and Kieran Maher from St Flannan's College designed a major space settlement capable of supporting 10,000 people.

They were assisted by physics teacher John Coneely, biology teacher Michael Horgan and Chemistry teacher Gráinne O'Brien.

The students picked up their prize at the International Space Development Convention in Puerto Rico earlier this month.

Over 4,000 students across the world took part in the competition.
