People in Clare are being urged to take part in the eighth annual Christmas Tree Throwing Championship in Ennis – and help a local charity in doing so.
Anyone looking to dispose of their Christmas tree is asked to come along and competitors will battle it out for the top spot in who can throw their standard 5 foot tree the furthest.
All those taking part will also pay a small donation to help out Cahercalla Hospice.
