Children At Two Clare Schools To Be Taught Irish Through PE

Children at two schools in Clare will soon be taught PE through Irish.

Holy Family Senior School and Teach Abhaile Pre-School in Ennis are among 19 facilities taking part in a pilot project, which is set to run for three years.

It’s being being launched today as part of efforts to promote the language and Education Minister Joe McHugh says he’s confident it will make Irish “more relevant” and allow young people to better engage with it.
