€750,000 Granted To Burren Farmers For Conservation Programme

€750,000 has been granted to over 300 farmers in Clare and surrounding areas involved in the Burren’s Farming For Conservation Programme.

The scheme works with farmers to help them to conserve the area’s environment while allowing them to continue producing quality livestock.

The funding, co-financed by the Department of Agriculture and the EU, comes just weeks after the Burren’s EcoTourism network won a prestigious travel award from Lonely Planet.
