Drink Driving Arrests Triple Over Bank Holiday Weekend

The number of arrests for drink-driving over the bank holiday weekend in Clare has tripled.

The Clare Garda Traffic Corps has realeased it’s annual road traffic statistics which show 6 people were arrested between Thursday and yesterday for the offence, compared to 2 over the same period in 2017.

There were no fatal road accidents, or accidents resulting in serious injury over the four days and crashes involving material damage dropped from 20 over the May Bank Holiday last year to 9 this year.
