Marty Morrissey is to be honoured by University College Cork.
The University is bestowing an Alumni Achievement Award on its former student at a ceremony there tomorrow.
After starting his broadcasting career with Clare FM, Marty joined RTE in 1989 and now works as their Gaelic Games correspondent.
