A young Clare journalist has taken a top national award for her work in highlighting services for people with cancer.
Muireann Duffy, from Kilfenora, came first in the Bursary Awards of the Press Council of Ireland, and was presented with her prize at a ceremony in Dublin today.
A graduate of the University of Limerick, Muireann formerly worked with Clare FM, and is currently studying in London for an MA in Sports Journalism.
