20% Drop In New Car Sales In Clare

There’s been an almost 20% drop in the number of new cars sold in Clare in the first six months of this year.

Latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that just shy of 1,600 vehicles have been sold here since the beginning of the year, versus over 1,900 by June of 2018.

Though there was a decrease nationally of 7.6%, the 19.5% drop in Clare means this county is well ahead of the average across the country.
