Crowe Calls For Renewed Focus On Rural Ireland

A Clare Fianna Fáil Dáil hopeful is hitting out at what he’s labelled a ‘two-tier’ economy in this country and says there needs to be renewed focus on rural Ireland.

Meelick Councillor Cathal Crowe has been added to the party’s election ticket, running alongside Doonbeg businesswoman Rita McInerney and sitting TD Timmy Dooley.

That decision was reached after Spanish Point psychiatrist Dr John Hillery, who was selected as the West Clare candidate last April, withdrew from the race.
