Gardaí Appeal For Public’s Help In Tracing Man Behind Attempted Armed Robbery

Gardaí in Shannon are appealing for the public’s help as they seek a man who attempted an armed robbery of Sixmilebridge Post Office.

The man entered the post office at 11:25 yesterday morning, armed with a black metallic object, but fled empty-handed after meeting resistance from the two staff members on duty.

The man, who covered his face, was wearing a grey jacket, with ripped jeans and grey numbers, and after leaving the scene he drove off in a grey Mercedes saloon car, with a Tipperary South, or TS registration.
