Clare has had one of the lowest levels of burglaries in the country over the past decade.

New research from home monitoring company PhoneWatch has found that there were 3,480 burglaries in the banner county between 2009 and 2018.

Only Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and Kerry recorded lower numbers of break-ins, while Dublin recorded the highest number in the country.
