Coveney Denies Stalling Water Referendum

The housing minister has denied he’s trying to stall a referendum to guarantee public ownership of the water system.

But Simon Coveney says he needs to get legal advice to make sure the proposed wording of a referendum doesn’t have legal pitfalls.

An Oireachtas committee has this morning heard the wording proposed by Independents4Change TD Joan Collins seems to be straightforward.
