The Chair of ShannonDoc says the consolidation of GP out of hours services is necessary, as efforts continue to fight the spread of COVID 19.

The service will be operating out of five centres in the Midwest from today, which will see the Ennis and Shannon services amalgamated and the Miltown, Kilrush and Ennistymon services operating out of the Miltown centre.

The Ennistymon and the Roscrea centres will be taken over by the HSE, as part of the response to the crisis.
