The Church of Ireland Dioceses of Limerick, Killaloe and Clonfert and the Catholic Diocese of Killaloe are coming together today to celebrate a shared Day of Remembrance.
The churches are aiming to reach out to those who have lost loved ones this year through COVID-19 or other illnesses in the first-of-its-kind event.
The focus of the day will be on short prayers for people to participate in at home, with in-person worship not happening due to current level 5 restrictions.
