Concerns Expressed About Impact Of COVID On People Suffering With Addiction Issues

Concerns have been raised that a number of people suffering from addictions are not engaging with recovery services, because of the impact of the pandemic.

Some support groups, including the likes of Alcoholics Anonymous, are continuing to hold in-person meetings in different parts of Clare, but with a number of restrictions including on the numbers who can attend, and how long the meeting can last.

Some support groups have moved their meetings exclusively online.
