Concern is being expressed in East Clare that legislation to tackle illegal dumping is not being enforced.
Councillor Alan O’Callaghan has taken to social media to vent his frustration after coming across several bags of rubbish strewn across a country road near Sixmilebridge in recent days.
Illegal dumping in rural parts of the county has become a persistent problem despite measures such as CCTV introduced to tackle it.
