A South-East Clare violinist has been awarded 25,000 euro in damages after suffering injuries in a road traffic accident.
33 year old Hilda O’Mahony of Ballyfinnan, Ardnacrusha was in a taxi on Wexford Street, Dublin when it was rear-ended by another taxi driven by Shehu Olayina Adisa, with an address in Athy, Co. Kildare.
The Irish Independent reports that Ms O’Mahony’s ongoing pain in her shoulder and arm were related to the March 2012 accident, even though he said the medical evidence has been “very conflicting.”
The judge said the injuries were “not particularly serious” but made the award as Ms. O’Mahony’s injuries had impacted on her musical career.
