Clare Senator Admits Measures To Combat White Collar Crime Took Too Long

A suite of measures to strengthen efforts to fight white collar crimes have been announced this afternoon.

Banks and financial institutions are to face stricter monitoring as part of the measures, while new laws on insider trading, bribery and planning corruption have also be unveiled.

Other measures include the separation of the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement to an independent agency.
