The cost of renting a home in Clare has jumped by almost 9% in the space of a year.
The latest rent index by Daft.ie shows that the average home in this county now costs €771 per month, almost 50% more than four years ago.
Nationally, the average rent in the second quarter of this year was €1,304, a jump of over 200 on the 2008 peak.
