Clare To Reclaim South-East Electorate From Limerick

Thousands of Clare voters who have been represented by Limerick TDs in recent years, will now cast their votes for elections with the rest of the Banner.

The Constituency Commission last night published it’s report, recommending the change as population numbers mean the former Clare constituency would have been over-represented under the new number of TDs, which now stands at 160.

The county will continue to elect four TDs, with the additional representatives coming in Dublin Central, Kildare South and Cavan Monaghan and Offaly and Laois are to be merged.
