Funding has been paid to twenty Clare families following on from the widespread flooding here in recent months.
The Department of Social Protection have revealed the total amount of money paid to homeowners whose properties were damaged during the bad weather of late 2015 and early this year.

In all, over 500 homes were paid a total of nearly 900,000 euro.
However, payments here have averaged out at just over 700 euro each – further claims are still being processed.
