Council Request For Shannon Group Board Seat Shot Down

Clare County Council has been dealt a blow after its application to have a representative sit on the board of Shannon Group has been shot down.

The Group has confirmed that two new board members have been appointed to the board in the form of solicitor Abrose Loughlin and media and business advisor Stephen Rea.

But there have been regular calls in Áras Contae an Chláir for the CEO of the local authority Pat Dowling to be appointed to the group, which oversees the running of Shannon Airport.
