A Clare government TD has welcomed the launch of a new recruitment drive for 300 new Garda Reserve recruits.
The campaign is part of The Plan for Government which committed to have a Reserve force of 2000 by 2021, and increase the strength of regular full time officers to 15,000.
The reserve force founded in 2006, provides uniformed part-time officers to supplement and support An Garda Siochana by providing crime reduction measures and local patrols.
