Calls For Unity On Water Issue

There’s hope Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael could put aside their differences over water today, when an Oireachtas Committee finalises its report on the issue.

Publication of the report, which recommends scrapping charges, was postponed to allow legal advisers to scrutinise the document.

Once the committee sign off on the recommendations they’ll be debated in the Dáil and the government will have one month to bring forward legislation.
