Calls for Dedicated Forum To Tackle Rising Crime

An Ennis Councillor insists that the town needs a dedicated forum to tackle rising rates of local crime.

Cllr Johnny Flynn has made a bid to have a sub-committee of Clare JPC set up, but he’s been told that won’t happen until after the Local Elections next year.

In the past, there were a number of smaller JPCs, but these were amalgamated into a county-wide body after Town Councils were abolished.
