Calls In Clare For Vets To Be Given Vaccine Priority

The Clare county chair of the ICMSA has called for vets to be prioritised for COVID-19 vaccines ahead of calving season.

There’s no designation for veterinary staff to be given the vaccine as a priority, although there are plans for an as-of-yet undefined group of ‘key workers’ to be given the jab in the coming months.

The Taoiseach has suggested that 135,000 people will be given the jab across the country by the end of next month, but the next number of months are traditionally the busiest time of the year for both vets and farmers.
