Broad Welcome For Funding For Development Of Clare Piers

A broad welcome has been given to the announcement of over 170,000 euro for the repair and development of two piers in West Clare.

The projects at Querrin and Carrigaholt are among 39 across the country to receive funding under a 2.2 million euro Government package announced by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Michael Creed.

172,500 euro has been allocated for maintenance and repair works, which will support the ongoing development and enhancement of the local authority owned piers in the two coastal communities.
