Breen Calling For Financial Incentives For Companies To Take On Apprenticeships

An Ennis Councillor is calling for financial incentives to be introduced for small businesses to take on apprentices.

James Breen insists it makes more sense to use the money paid out to young people on the dole to fund these practical work experience placements.

The local authority is to urge other county councils in the country to put pressure on the Minister for Trade and Employment to examine such a scheme.
