The family of an East Clare woman missing in France have confirmed the tragic news that a body found in the area is that of the young teacher.
21-year-old Eimear Noonan was last seen at her home in the small French town of Annonay, near Lyon, on Wednesday afternoon.
Eimear’s body was discovered during searches of the area, and it is believed that the young Caher woman died following a fall while out running.
Tonight, on social media, her family have thanked the public for what they describe as “the outpouring of love and support they have received in recent days”, as well as authorities in France and Ireland.
Eimear is survived by her parents Flan and Mary, her brothers Declan, Michael and Cathal and her family and friends
